You may have already guessed….I love colour!
I also love Danish design and to shop small. Seeking out unique pieces for my home.
With these elements in mind, I set out to create my living room style…beginning with the colour pallet.
Living room Colour Inspiration:
I was instantly drawn to the gorgeous colours in this “Seasons” print from Toucan. I knew it would work so well as a statement piece for the room.
It also serves as a great anchor for the colour choices in the rest of the space.
I purchased the print in A1 as I really wanted it to be the centrepeice. And for only $48 it was such an affordable way to intoduce artwork into the living room. And it really makes an impact!
I am in love with everything Homeware Designers Milly & Eugene create. Their use of shapes and colours is spot on! As soon as I spotted their divine Pastel Geometric vase set… I knew it was a perfect match to the Toucan print.
You can purchase the set of 3 for $45!
I love the sleek designs of scandinavian furniture…but unfortunalty my budget (husband) doesn’t. So when I spotted this stunning Scandi inspired oak chair for $169.99! I knew I had to have it! This chair is now makes up one of my fave corners in the house! Teamed with a faux fur rug from Kmart and two scandi style side tables in a pale blue & pink…it’s the perect little reading nook.
This little beauty is from Ebay based business Lectory – and also comes in other colours!
I really needed to introduce a softer colour into the space (to break up the pink & yellow).
Whilst on one of my marathon “Insta” stalking sessions….I came across this amazing wonven wall hanging by the very talented House Of Hastings. I am in love the the blue tones in this hanging, and it really helps to tie in the other colours.
I aim to find a rug to match the blue in this weave.
House of Hastings wall hangings start from $30.
