Flower Magic: Decorating with Flowers

If you are anything like me, you are constantly updating your decor, soft furnishings and personal touches  to your home sometimes as often as the seasons (moods) change. Unfortunatley this can quickly become a costly hobby!

A simple and more cost effective way to update you home and introduce colour and warmth into your space is with flowers and plants.

A great place to start is by having a small collection of vases in different shapes and sizes to suit flower varieties.

Be creative and keep your eyes open! Never under estimate the impact of a branch or collection of leaves and foliage that you come across on your morning walk. Spring is famous for the divine Blossom Tree… the branches really make an impact as a table centrepiece or entrance table addition.

I love heading to my local flower market to check out the latest in season blooms. A great tip is to bring a picture with you of the vase or room you are wanting to style the flowers in, let them know your budget and they will put together an amazing bespoke bunch for you!

Another great option is a monthly flower subscription! Every month you can recieve a sunning bunch of blooms delivered to your door! Here are a couple of my fave Melbourne Florist’s that offer a flower delivery service:

Happy flower hunting!
